It makes me very happy to see the rebirth of the airship. Thank-you for posting this.

I would like to more more about the man. How did he become rich? His background?

If by "he" you mean the Count, check out his page at Ferdinand von Zeppelin. The short answer is that he was born to and married within the upper class and bet his entire fortune on the early airships. His fortunes were decidedly mixed during his life. But he died very famous and lauded for having served his country well. This seems to have mattered more to him than wealth per se.

Quote "The company's marketing materials repeatedly, and incorrectly, refer to the aircraft as a rigid airship. This usage has led to some confusion in media reports." Stats check

H! Are the stats correct for this airship? Gross weight 10,690 kg. Volume 8,255 m3. Helium lifts approx 1 kg per m3 so this can't fly at the gross weight given. 82.68.8.230 (talk) 11:50, 21 June 2019 (UTC) Anonymous Coward[reply]
